How this works
This page sets out how the eighteen entries on attackzonee were put together, which sources stand behind them, and what the site deliberately leaves out. It also explains how to read the winter part, where the buildings themselves are temporary.
How the hotels were chosen
Four parts were fixed first: capsule hotels, casino hotels, art hotels and hotels built from snow and ice. Within each part the aim was a small, varied set of working houses rather than a long list. Every house had to be open, findable in open sources and clear enough to describe without guesswork.
Houses belonging to chains were kept only where the individual address could be identified. Where a chain runs several houses in one city, the entry says so, because rules, room types and services differ between them.
Which sources are used
Entries rest on material published by the hotels and their operators, on mapping services, and on published writing about the buildings. Where a detail could not be confirmed, the sentence was rewritten so that it does not depend on that detail.
The month and year in each entry record when the note was last checked against those sources. Buildings change, so a checked date is a statement about the reading, not a promise about the hotel.
What the site does not carry
There are no prices, no star classifications, no room counts, no reviews and no reservation links. Hotels are not compared with one another, and no order of merit is given. The site is independent and takes nothing from the houses it describes.
The part on Canadian resorts treats them as hotels: buildings, halls, restaurants, spas and grounds. What happens on the licensed floor is not covered here.
How to read the winter part
Buildings of snow and ice stand for one winter. They are cut and raised from nothing each year, then melt in spring, so a room described in one season may not exist in the next. Season dates are set annually and this site does not print them.
Two of the four winter entries lie near Rovaniemi at separate sites, and the entries say so plainly. Where an operator also runs heated buildings on the same ground, that is stated in the entry.

If something here is wrong or out of date, write and say which entry and which sentence. Corrections are made against the source rather than against opinion. The address is on the contact page.
