The Heart of the Game!

Want to know how scoring works? Our Ball System is designed to help you understand what you get for every action you take!

Goals (G):

5 points for a goal (for forwards and defensemen)

7 points for a goal by a goaltender

Assists (A):

3 points for an assist (for all players)

Shots on Goal (SOG):

1 point for every 3 shots on goal

Hits (HIT):

1 point for each hit delivered

Blocked Shots (BLK):

1 point for each shot blocked

Plus/Minus (+/-):

2 points for a plus (+)

-2 points for a minus (-)

Power Play Points (PPP):

3 points for a power play goal or assist

Shorthanded Points (SHP):

5 points for a shorthanded goal

3 points for a shorthanded assist

Game-Winning Goals (GWG):

3 points for a game-winning goal

Penalties in Minutes (PIM):

-1 point for every 2 penalty minutes

Goaltender Stats:

Wins (W):

5 points for a win

Shutouts (SO):

7 points for a shutout

Saves (SV):

1 point for every 3 saves

Goals Against (GA):

-1 point for each goal allowed

Goals (G):

10 points for a goal scored by a goalie
